Peer Learning Exchanges (PLE)

PLE’s are virtual workshops for our CRDVN members that are focused on sharing knowledge, learning about the community services from our members, and culturally-competent practices that support DV survivors.

Educational policy workshops

in CRDVN, we have three workgroups dedicated to our core values: network strength, economic security, and violence prevention. in 2023, we hosted two educational panels within our workgroups: our violence prevention team coordinated a panel on community health workers/promotores, and our economic security team held a panel on social enterprise.

reconnecting and gathering our network

in fall of 2022, we hosted our first in-person gathering since pre-pandemic. we convened for two days at the beautiful hotel maya in long beach to reconnect with each other, discuss our membership, and the future of crdvn.

our network strength

as we continue to foster meaningful relationships within our network, crdvn hosted two regional gatherings for our partners in early 2023. we spent time with our partners in oakland and los angeles on self care activities, discussing member updates, and policy engagements.

policy engagement and advocacy

in 2023, crdvn is a co-sponsor for a state budget ask for prevention funding our network coordinators, abigail alvarez and melissa sagun, spoke on two panels on our budget efforts: one for the blue shield foundation and another for cpedv/valor US policy advocacy day.

as a proud co-sponsor of ab 1028 by assemblymember mckinnor, our fearless leader, karen earl from jenesse center, provided a powerful testimony in assembly public safety committee. the bill will ensure survivors of dv have greater autonomy and safety when it comes to accessing medical care and services.
